The Stand Against Racism is spearheaded by the national YWCA, and supported by the local branches. According to the YWCA, more than a quarter million individuals took part in events last year, with approximately 100 local organizations and businesses, including RIT, taking part in 2011. Rochester had the second-highest number of participating sites in the U.S.

The Stand Against Racism is a movement of the YWCA that aims to eliminate racism by raising awareness through its annual event, RIT is a participating site sponsor
This Year we will march against racism from the Sundial across the quarter mile ending at Global Village. At Global Village paritcipants will be treated to refreshments and giveaways, and there will be an anti-racism rally, where everyone will be asked to sign the pledge to stand against racism.
